What you will do

• Define and execute a unified events portfolio, including flagship moments, owned experiences, and field activations.
• Establish a high creative bar for experience design, branding, and storytelling across all developer touchpoints.
• Manage a global calendar of 50+ events per year and oversee a significant budget ($2M+) with clear ROI frameworks.
• Collaborate with DevRel, Product, Sales, and Comms to integrate events into broader GTM motions.
• Build and lead a lean team of event professionals, setting culture and quality standards.
• Innovate event formats, exploring hackathons, AI agent showcases, and hybrid experiences.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in events, experiential marketing, or developer marketing, with 5+ years in leadership.
• Deep understanding of technical audiences and what resonates with engineers and builders.
• Proven ability to manage large budgets ($2M+) with financial discipline and transparency.
• Strategic and analytical rigor to tie event investments to pipeline and acquisition metrics.
• Ability to operate with a bias for action in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Must be based in or able to work from Austin, TX, New York, NY, or San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Background or strong exposure to product-led growth (PLG) motions.
• Experience producing hybrid or digital-first event formats.
