Sr. Embedded Software Engineer (Radar): Developing embedded software for Air to Air Radar systems within an autonomy stack with an accent on numerical optimization, FPGA interfaces, and high-bandwidth data pipelines. Location: Seattle, WA. Must be a U.S. person or have authorization to comply with U.S. export control laws.

Salary: $210K – $280K base + Equity

What you will do

• Develop C++ flight software requirements, design, and code in accordance with DO-178C procedures.
• Create Python-based software integration test cases.
• Implement numerical optimization, networking, and protocol drivers.
• Develop driver-level software for software-to-FPGA interfaces.
• Manage high-bandwidth data pipelines for radar systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing in C or C++.
• 3+ years of experience translating and optimizing complex mathematical algorithms into deterministic embedded code.
• Hands-on experience with software-to-FPGA interfaces and high-bandwidth data pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Capacity to perform in compliance with U.S. export control laws (U.S. person status required or authorized).

Nice to have

• 12+ years of professional C/C++ experience.
• Experience with Radar algorithms, signal processing, and radar system integration.
• Prior experience working in a DO-178 software development environment.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
