TL;DR

Sr. FPGA Design Engineer (FPGA/Digital Logic): Building and validating FPGA digital logic for flight computer and air-to-air RADAR within an autonomy stack, with an accent on safety-critical design, simulation/synthesis, and hardware integration. Focus on developing FPGA requirements, implementing fixed-point DSP algorithms, and supporting test and verification to enable product certification and delivery.

Location: Mountain View, CA; Remote

Salary: $215K–$300K (base) + equity

What you will do

  • Own FPGA requirements, design, and simulation for multiple projects supporting the technology roadmap.
  • Perform code synthesis and hardware integration, including test support for FPGA-based subsystems.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional environment with mutual peer review to maintain high product quality.
  • Enable development of the flight computer and air-to-air RADAR to unlock higher-level capabilities.
  • Contribute to long-term development efforts that support product certification and delivery to market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of full-cycle electronics hardware development experience in a professional environment.
  • Professional experience designing FPGA digital logic using industry-standard design, simulation, and synthesis tools.
  • Experience designing safety-critical FPGA systems (DO-254 level A/B or equivalent industry standard).
  • Ability to work with U.S. export-controlled technology; offer contingent on compliance with U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of product ownership including development and field support.
  • Experience architecting, implementing, and verifying fixed-point DSP algorithms.
  • Comfort with an agile/iterative development life cycle and a pragmatic, results-oriented work style.
