Principal Software Engineer - Content Lifecycle (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Principal Software Engineer (C++/Gamedev): Leading the architecture and design of workflows on hirify.global Studio to enable Creators and AI agents to collaborate at scale through reusable content. Focus on building performant game engine features, solving complex scalability challenges, and establishing foundational technical direction.

Location: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in San Mateo, CA)

What you will do

• Plan and deliver complex E2E technical features in the game engine and hirify.global Studio.
• Establish foundational architecture and technical direction for Studio's expansion.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across teams and platforms to deliver high-quality functionality.
• Mentor engineers and implement technological best practices and patterns.
• Drive product quality through the fostering of automation testing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with large-scale systems in C++ codebases.
• Expertise in multiplayer game engine internals, focusing on scale, performance, latency, and throughput.
• Proven track record of delivering E2E features across multiple teams and platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Must have United States work authorization (certain visa categories and H-1B sponsorship may not be supported).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of version control systems internals.
• Experience with 3D scene and game development tools/workflows.
• Familiarity with file storage systems or network protocols.
