Salary: $230,000 - $270,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and architectural strategy for a new, standalone backend infrastructure optimized for security and scale.
• Design secure data pipelines and robust APIs to integrate government-backed registries and institutional banking systems like BNY.
• Mentor senior engineers and set a high bar for code standards and technical excellence across the brokerage ecosystem.
• Partner with Product, Security, and Legal to navigate the technical compliance protocols of a highly regulated government contract.
• Own backend stability and performance tuning in preparation for high-volume user rollouts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record as a principal or staff-level engineer.
• Advanced mastery of Python or Go for building high-throughput, low-latency distributed infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in domain modeling, microservices architecture, and complex API orchestration.
• Proven experience in 0-to-1 product development, navigating high technical ambiguity and de-risking blockers.
• Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident due to legal requirements.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex legal and regulatory constraints into maintainable infrastructure.
