Proofreader (Health & Wellness): Reviewing and polishing YouTube and social media content to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and compliance with health regulations with an accent on grammar, spelling, and style. Location: Remote (United States), excluding California
Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 / hr

What you will do
- Review YouTube content across multiple checkpoints, including audio, visuals, captions, and metadata.
- Proofread and fact-check short-form social media copy, graphics, and subtitles.
- Identify and escalate quality or compliance risks before publication.
- Collaborate with video editors and social media managers to ensure brand alignment.
- Provide coverage for fellow team members to maintain consistent content output.
Requirements
- Experience in proofreading, editing, or content review within digital media, video, or publishing.
- Proficiency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and adherence to style guides (e.g., AP or Chicago).
- Experience reviewing multimedia content, including transcripts and on-screen text.
- Hands-on experience with social media copywriting (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must not be based in California.
Nice to have
- Understanding of YouTube’s Community Guidelines and FDA/FTC compliance for health content.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices (ADA compliance for captions).
- Experience with SEO and social media optimization.
- Basic design awareness and familiarity with YouTube Studio.
