TL;DR
Data Platform Engineer (AI): Designing and optimizing a secure, scalable data and AI platform for processing multimodal clinical datasets with an accent on open-source infrastructure, containerization, and regulatory compliance. Focus on building self-serve data services, managing Kubernetes-based deployments via Helm and Terraform, and ensuring reproducibility of AI training pipelines.
Location: Hybrid (Amsterdam, Netherlands or Zurich, Switzerland). Must spend at least 50% of time at the office.

is building a next-generation agentic clinical AI assistant to help clinicians reason across patient data, guidelines, and diagnostics.
What you will do
- Design, maintain, and own infrastructure for data exploration, transformation, and storage, including orchestration and monitoring.
- Build internal platform services that abstract complexity and promote self-serve data access and processing.
- Manage and deploy standard open-source tooling using Helm charts and Terraform for resource provisioning.
- Implement data pipelines and contribute to ML workflows as part of broader platform ownership.
- Collaborate with researchers and product teams to support their data needs.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in production data platform, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
- Experience providing in-house data orchestration services based on tools like Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Helm for deploying services to Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with modern storage formats (Parquet, Delta, Iceberg) and object stores (S3, MinIO, Azure Blob).
- Solid programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Must be based in the Netherlands or Switzerland.
Nice to have
- Experience in AI/ML environments.
- Understanding of medical data standards such as DICOM, FHIR, or pathology slide images.
- Knowledge of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
