What you will do

• Manage and curate multimodal biomedical datasets, ensuring metadata documentation and research readiness.
• Apply and improve metadata standards and FAIR data principles across research projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, governance, and scientific teams to implement consistent data standards.
• Utilize automation and AI tools to streamline metadata extraction, validation, and documentation workflows.
• Guide researchers through data ingestion and provide support on data-sharing tools and best practices.
• Ensure all biomedical data sharing follows legal, ethical, and governance requirements.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical research, health informatics, or related field with 2+ years of experience in biocuration (or an advanced degree).
• Experience working with complex multi-omic data (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics, genomics).
• Proficiency in biomedical data models, metadata harmonization, and ontology development.
• Experience using project tracking tools such as Jira and version control systems.
• Strong commitment to open science and effective communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud-based resources.
• Experience presenting work to scientific audiences.
