What you will do

• Lead backend development for payment products and make key architectural and technical decisions.
• Design scalable solutions for complex payment flows, transaction processing, and balance management.
• Coordinate developers, perform task decomposition, and conduct code reviews to maintain engineering standards.
• Implement integrations with payment providers and develop risk controls, reporting, and back-office tools.
• Monitor production stability and identify technical risks to propose system improvements.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial backend development experience with Python 3.x and Django.
• Proven track record as a Tech Lead or Backend Lead.
• Mandatory experience in Fintech or Payments (e.g., PSP, Acquiring, PayFac, EMI licensed companies).
• Deep expertise in high-load systems, transactional integrity, idempotency patterns, and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
• Fluent Russian and Intermediate+ English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with microservices or modular architecture.
• Knowledge of reconciliation, settlements, commissions, and chargebacks.
• Understanding of PCI DSS requirements and their impact on payment systems.
• Experience in iGaming payments.
