What you will do

• Develop and maintain multi-domain battery pack models representing electrical, electrochemical, and thermal behaviors, including cooling loop operation and control.
• Execute workflows for trade-off studies, sensitivity analysis, and multi-objective optimization for safety, mass, and cost drivers.
• Assess BMS/BTMS control strategies and algorithms through MiL and SiL simulations, including fault scenarios and safety limits.
• Define requirements for ECM, ROM, and ML-based surrogate battery models and coordinate parameter identification across cell and pack levels.
• Integrate domain knowledge and high-fidelity simulation inputs into fast system models using FMI/FMUs.
• Develop advanced state estimation algorithms (SOC, SOH, SOX) using KF, MHE, and machine-learning approaches.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Systems, Control, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in battery or electrified system simulation, preferably within Automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
• Specialized knowledge in system control design, state estimation algorithms, Li-ion battery cells, and BMS/BTMS.
• Proficiency in simulation tools such as Simulink, Simscape, Modelica, Ansys Twin Builder, or Amesim, and scientific coding in Python and Matlab.
• Experience with surrogate/reduced-order modeling and multi-objective optimization.
• English proficiency is required.
