What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable backend connectors for external systems including CMMS, ERP, MES, and SCADA.
• Develop integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and file-based interfaces.
• Build data ingestion, transformation, and synchronization pipelines between external systems and internal platforms.
• Implement and manage authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, API keys, and SFTP.
• Define reusable connector frameworks and backend architecture patterns to standardize integration workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Customer teams to resolve complex integration edge cases and production issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production integrations with third-party systems.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages: Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or C#.
• Strong understanding of API integration patterns (REST, webhooks, JSON, XML) and authentication flows.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, background jobs, queues, retries, and error handling.
• Ability to design data mapping and transformation logic across different source system schemas.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating with industrial platforms such as AVEVA, SCADA, MES, or ERP.
• Familiarity with middleware platforms like Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems, messaging, and workflow orchestration.
• Background in B2B SaaS, Industrial IoT, or manufacturing environments.
