What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers building TurboTax experiences and AI platform capabilities.
• Drive end-to-end ownership of web, mobile, and AI agent surfaces with scalable and durable architecture.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and AI/ML teams to improve conversion, customer benefit, and NPS.
• Apply thought leadership in GenAI and agentic systems to disrupt the consumer tax experience.
• Ensure operational excellence, system uptime, and release management discipline during the high-intensity US tax season (Jan–Apr).
• Define and uphold engineering standards for code quality, CI/CD, observability, and SRE practices.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience building consumer-scale SaaS or mobile applications, preferably in fintech, tax, or e-commerce.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, including Lambda, container orchestration, and serverless.
• Strong full-stack background: Java (Spring Boot), Python, React/React Native, and GraphQL/REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML and GenAI, specifically LLMs, RAG, agents, and evaluation frameworks.
