What you will do
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and expense processing to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and monitor cash flow.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure compliance with Japanese tax requirements.
- Oversee Japanese payroll operations, ensuring compliant processing, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Manage contracts, invoices, and procurement for external partners while tracking vendor deliverables.
- Support group financial reporting and intercompany transaction reconciliations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Experience working in Japan and familiarity with Japanese accounting practices.
- Bachelor's degree or 10 years of experience (required for Japanese Visa qualifications).
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese.
- Must be based in or have authorization to work in Tokyo, Japan.
