Engineering Manager (Light Fabrications)

What you will do

• Lead the team to achieve New Product Introduction (NPI) deliverables, including cost, velocity, reliability, and quality targets.
• Manage Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) activities by addressing feedback from Product Support and Manufacturing.
• Coach and mentor project team members and provide leadership for design reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and lifecycle efficiency.
• Oversee project progress, communicate status to stakeholders, and manage budgets and forecasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering curriculum.
• Progressive experience in engineering and product development.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Burnie, Tasmania, Australia.

Nice to have

• Experience directing design staff and motivating teams in high-paced environments.
• Hands-on experience with machinery, heavy equipment, welding, or manufacturing processes.
• Personal experience executing APQP from beginning to end.
• Previous experience designing complex welded steel structures.
