What you will do

• Install and repair scientific instrumentation manufactured by Luminex Corporation at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance, retrofit installations, and complex troubleshooting with minimal support.
• Manage an expense account, service tools, and spare parts inventories.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all service calls and corrective actions within the CRM system.
• Interface daily with internal and external customers to ensure service excellence.
• Meet departmental KPIs regarding response times and PM completion rates.

Requirements

• Technical school or military technical training in Electronics Technology or Computer Science.
• Must be based in San Francisco or the Northern California region.
• 1+ years of experience in Field Service, in-house Biomed, or a customer-facing technical role.
• High mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (High proficiency) is required.
• Valid Passport or eligibility for international travel (up to 75% travel required).

Nice to have

• Biotechnical training or an associate degree/higher in an engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of electronic measuring equipment.
