What you will do
- Support the development and implementation of policies related to administration, governance, and resource allocation within OSW.
- Conduct policy research, gap analyses, and risk assessments to facilitate senior leader decision-making.
- Prepare executive-level staff packages, briefing materials, and official correspondence for Department of War leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Military Departments, Defense Agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor the effectiveness of approved policies and develop performance metrics to assess organizational outcomes.
- Lead special projects, organizational studies, and contingency planning efforts.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
- Master’s degree.
- 15+ years of experience supporting Department of War organizations, defense policy, or administration.
- 12+ years of experience working within the Office of the Secretary of War.
- Proven experience in policy analysis, strategic planning, and developing executive-level briefings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Nice to have
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience building productive relationships with military and civilian stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently and anticipate leadership requirements.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams for high-visibility initiatives.
