What you will do

• Define the architecture for vehicle connectivity and communication.
• Design and implement highly-reliable, low-latency communications frameworks capable of handling diverse mobile network conditions.
• Address connectivity concerns for vehicle runtime, including networking, performance, and observability.
• Collaborate with autonomy engineers to optimize data throughput and efficiency.
• Provide engineering support for field testing and fleet operations.
• Mentor senior engineers, establish coding standards, and drive the long-term connectivity roadmap.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Expert-level C++ programming skills for high-performance, thread-safe systems in a Linux environment.
• Experience with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, gRPC, HTTP, and network health monitoring.
• Proficiency in Linux network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to navigate and contribute effectively to large codebases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance evaluation and optimization.
• Strong programming skills in GoLang.
• Experience with safety-critical systems.
