What you will do

• Write functional and design specifications for packet forwarding engine features and system software.
• Implement technical solutions using C, C++, and Python for hardware components and forwarding engines.
• Develop and execute automated test plans to ensure software quality and stability.
• Collaborate with hardware teams and vendors to bring up new systems and validate ASICs.
• Analyze and resolve complex networking problems for customers via software releases or patches.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of specifications and implementations.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering + 8 years experience (or MS + 6 years / PhD + 3 years).
• Proficiency in C or C++ programming.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX or Linux operating systems.
• Deep understanding of IP networking or distributed systems.
• Proven software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
