Principal / Lead Civil Engineer (Hyperscale Data Centre)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working based in the Dublin office.

What you will do

• Lead the civil engineering team in delivering detailed designs for pavements, underground drainage, utilities and earthworks.
• Lead civil design delivery for large-scale hyperscale data centre and mission-critical projects from concept through completion.
• Prepare and deliver clear technical presentations and daily project updates to clients.
• Coordinate with project managers, technical leads, construction management teams and contractors.
• Manage timely delivery of high-quality civil engineering designs.
• Drive best practices, challenge existing standards and promote energy-efficient, sustainable design solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or a similar professional body.
• At least 12 years of experience, including at least 5 years managing civil design teams delivering detailed designs for hyperscale mission-critical projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise reports and engaging presentations.
• Ability to create and deliver engineering presentations to clients.
• High adaptability and the ability to respond effectively to changing project requirements and dynamic environments.
• Thorough understanding of civil engineering design standards and construction practices across EMEA.
