Principal / Lead Civil Engineer (Hyperscale Data Centre)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid work with regular presence in the Dublin office

What you will do

• Lead the civil engineering team in delivering detailed designs for pavements, underground drainage, utilities and earthworks.
• Own the timely delivery of high-quality civil engineering design packages.
• Prepare and deliver clear technical presentations and daily project updates to clients.
• Coordinate with project managers, technical leads, construction management teams and contractors.
• Challenge existing standards, promote best practices and develop energy-efficient, sustainable design solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• Chartered with Engineers Ireland or a similar professional body.
• At least 12 years of experience, including 5 years managing civil design teams on detailed hyperscale mission-critical projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical reporting and client presentations.
• Adaptability and the ability to respond effectively to changing project requirements.
• Thorough understanding of civil engineering design standards and construction practices across EMEA.
