What you will do

• Build and evolve the Kubernetes Platform (Bonzai!) with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Partner with internal teams to improve developer experience and overall engineering output.
• Lead and contribute to infrastructure integration projects involving multiple teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues for critical backend services at scale, including root cause analysis.
• Maintain and validate platform infrastructure through automation and operational best practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical production infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in high-volume or critical production service environments.
• Production experience with containers and container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes.
• Strong Go programming skills.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, TCP/IP, and DNS.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience developing software integrating with Kubernetes APIs and CRDs.
• Experience deploying large-scale distributed systems in public or private clouds (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Contributions to the CNCF open-source community and related projects.
• Experience with bare metal lifecycle management in on-premises datacenters.
• Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD and Helm.
