What you will do

• Supervise and mentor a team of billing agents to ensure high performance in invoicing and project cost accounting.
• Oversee complex accounting tasks, including Work in Progress (WIP) analysis and revenue cut-off procedures.
• Conduct deep-dive data analyses to identify and correct discrepancies in billable time and expenses.
• Manage the full accounts receivable (AR) function, including cash application and proactive clearing of aging AR.
• Serve as the functional expert for the ERP system to ensure accurate financial information flow.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for Project Managers regarding contract terms and budget tracking.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project cost accounting or project-based billing, ideally in professional services.
• Prior experience leading, mentoring, or coaching a team.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, specifically revenue recognition and accruals.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; experience with Sage Intacct is highly preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex financial data.
