Data Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, data services, and integration solutions within AWS GovCloud environments.
• Build and maintain APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and file-based integrations with government systems.
• Perform data modeling, database design, schema modifications, and performance optimization for relational databases.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across Personnel Vetting Management, Adjudication, and Appeals datasets.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery practices within a SAFe Agile environment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and architecture artifacts.

Requirements

• Active Top-Secret clearance is required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or Data Integration Engineer.
• Strong SQL development and experience with enterprise-scale relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or other modern programming languages.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, specifically GovCloud and IL5 environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Certifications: AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140/8570 certification.
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or SAFe certification.
