TL;DR
Data Engineer (AWS): Designing and optimizing enterprise data pipelines and integration solutions for federal personnel vetting programs with an accent on AWS GovCloud environments and secure data migration. Focus on building scalable ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data integrity across sensitive datasets, and implementing cybersecurity compliance (RMF, Zero Trust).

What you will do
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, data services, and integration solutions within AWS GovCloud environments.
- Build and maintain APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and file-based integrations with government systems.
- Perform data modeling, database design, schema modifications, and performance optimization for relational databases.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across Personnel Vetting Management, Adjudication, and Appeals datasets.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery practices within a SAFe Agile environment.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and architecture artifacts.
Requirements
- Active Top-Secret clearance is required.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or Data Integration Engineer.
- Strong SQL development and experience with enterprise-scale relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or other modern programming languages.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, specifically GovCloud and IL5 environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Certifications: AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140/8570 certification.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or SAFe certification.
