What you will do

• Inspect, install, repair, and maintain water and sewer collection systems.
• Manage water meter reading, flushing programs, and coordinate service shutoffs and restorations.
• Perform valve maintenance and install or repair fire hydrants.
• Clean and inspect sanitary sewer mains and laterals using jet/vac trucks and CCTV cameras.
• Repair damaged sewer pipes, fittings, manholes, and water service lines.
• Operate heavy equipment including track excavators, dump trucks, and sewer jetters.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5+ years of experience working in water and sewer collection systems.
• Possession of NC Distribution and/or Collection System certifications, or the ability to obtain them.
• Valid NC Driver's License - Class A CDL, or the ability to obtain it.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear required respiratory equipment.
