What you will do

• Own the full device firmware stack, including schematic review, board bring-up, and production firmware.
• Implement Matter protocol on ESP32-series silicon using ESP-IDF and the ESP-Matter SDK.
• Manage OTA update frameworks and ensure device certification readiness.
• Diagnose low-level issues across firmware, hardware, and network layers using JTAG/SWD and protocol sniffers.
• Debug complex interoperability issues across Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa ecosystems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to deliver production-ready connected devices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional embedded/firmware engineering experience in C/C++.
• Deep expertise with ESP-IDF, including CMake/Kconfig, partition tables, NVS, and FreeRTOS task management.
• Demonstrable experience implementing Matter on ESP32 silicon (C3, S3, or H2).
• Hands-on experience with Matter transports, specifically Wi-Fi or Thread (802.15.4).
• Must reside in Argentina and be authorized to work without sponsorship on a permanent basis.
• Ability to translate Matter and Thread specifications into working firmware.

Nice to have

• Contributions to open-source Matter or ESP-IDF repositories.
• Experience taking a Matter device through CSA certification.
• Knowledge of adjacent protocols such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, or BLE Mesh.
• Experience establishing CI/CD for firmware builds and automated test harnesses.
