What you will do

• Conduct finance planning, execution, and management including budget, cash, financial control, and tax reporting.
• Manage the Finance team and external consultants to execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes.
• Partner with the Japan COO to define and execute a multi-year business growth plan.
• Lead and improve corporate operations and back-office functions such as legal and office administration in Japan.
• Develop business projections, KPIs, and unit economic models to track business progress.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in a major company or as an executive/advisor at an early-stage company.
• Must be based in Tokyo, Japan for a hybrid work arrangement.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a "big picture" mentality.
• High proficiency in handling numbers and financial reports.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, or Business Administration.
• Experience working in a tech startup with a track record of contributing to growth.
• Prior team management experience.
