TL;DR

What you will do

  • Design and build full levels end-to-end, including layout, traversal, and combat pacing.
  • Create tactical environments that support squad coordination, flanking routes, and cover systems.
  • Script gameplay events, AI behaviors, and environmental interactions.
  • Collaborate with art, engineering, and production teams to align with creative vision.
  • Test, debug, and iterate on levels to improve navigation, balance, and readability.
  • Communicate production constraints and dependencies to ensure smooth content delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in game development with a focus on action or shooter titles.
  • Must be based in Canada.
  • Proven experience shipping at least one game title from implementation to final polish.
  • Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine, including gameplay scripting and debugging.
  • Deep understanding of combat space design, sightlines, and encounter pacing.
  • Ability to work independently and iterate effectively based on feedback.

Nice to have

  • Interest in military fiction and systemic gameplay.
  • Experience with cinematic mission design.
