What you will do
- Design and build levels end-to-end, including layout, combat encounters, traversal, pacing, and objectives.
- Create tactical combat spaces that support flanking, cover usage, squad coordination, and multiple approaches.
- Script and implement gameplay events, AI behaviors, triggers, and environmental interactions.
- Collaborate with art, engineering, and production to align content with the creative vision.
- Test, debug, and iterate on levels to resolve navigation, combat balance, and progression issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in game development, specifically within action or shooter games.
- Experience shipping at least one title, preferably in the shooter space.
- Proficiency in level editing and gameplay scripting within Unreal Engine.
- Strong understanding of combat space design, player navigation, and encounter pacing.
- Ability to manage tasks and iterate on feedback independently in a dynamic production environment.
Nice to have
- Passion for military fiction and squad-based tactical gameplay.
- Interest in cinematic mission design, staging, and environmental storytelling.
- Appreciation for systemic gameplay and emergent combat scenarios.
- Strong focus on polish and player comprehension of game spaces.
