What you will do

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a world-class team of data scientists, fostering technical growth and clear career paths.
• Translate high-level business goals into rigorous data science roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
• Oversee data pipelines and define core business, product, and performance metrics for ML optimization.
• Establish scalable data annotation strategies and quality control frameworks to ensure data reliability.
• Lead the exploration of new problem spaces to fundamentally enhance electric grid visibility.
• Standardize experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing, and implement modern DS workflows using GenAI.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field with 8+ years of experience in the tech or energy industry.
• 5+ years of experience managing high-performing data science and analytics teams.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and relevant ML frameworks.
• Deep experience with electric power grid data and a physics-based understanding of electrical networks.
• Advanced skills in experimental design, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling methods.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
