Staff Research Scientist (AI): Developing machine learning solutions for autonomous driving with an accent on multimodal LLMs for 3D detection and generative modeling. Focus on designing evaluation frameworks for perception models and optimizing the processing of LiDAR, Camera, and Radar sensor data.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in the US (Mountain View, New York City, or Kirkland)

Salary: $251,000—$310,000 USD

What you will do

• Use Multimodal LLMs to perform 3D detection.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for training and evaluation across multiple sources.
• Design and implement evaluation frameworks for perception models.
• Analyze model behavior, including scaling efficacy and architecture design ablations.
• Implement Perception Modeling solutions to process LiDAR, Camera, and Radar sensor information.
• Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in the academic community via technical reports and publications.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or equivalent deep learning experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Deep Learning and Generative Models.
• Familiarity with major ML Frameworks such as JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Strong coding skills in Python.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent research experience.
• Publications at top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, IROS, CoRL).
• Experience with generative models for world models, 3D, video, or simulation using diffusion or autoregressive techniques.
• Substantial contributions to high-impact industry AI projects.
