TL;DR
Financial Accountant (SaaS): Delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for a global IoT data platform with an accent on monthly close, balance sheet integrity, and audit readiness. Focus on optimizing accounting processes, ensuring tax compliance (HST/VAT), and strengthening internal financial controls.
Location: Hybrid (Must be based in the London, Ontario area)
Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 CAD

What you will do
- Execute monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Own and maintain balance sheet reconciliations to ensure audit readiness and data integrity.
- Support year-end audit processes, documentation preparation, and coordination with auditors.
- Manage indirect tax compliance, specifically U.S. sales tax and Canadian HST/VAT.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Revenue & Billing teams to ensure accurate data flows.
- Act as a backup for North American payroll and drive process automation using AI.
Requirements
- CPA designation (completed or in progress).
- Professional experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and month-end close.
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Must be located in or be able to work from the London, Ontario area.
- Clear communication skills and a mindset for continuous process optimization.
Nice to have
- Previous experience with payroll processing.
- Knowledge of indirect tax (sales tax, HST/VAT).
