TL;DR

Project Manager (Software): Leading and delivering strategic programs and business change initiatives within the PMO to improve organizational efficiency with an accent on process transformation and system implementations. Focus on coordinating cross-functional teams, managing complex dependencies, and evolving project delivery methodologies.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or near Cambridge, UK (1 day per week in-office)

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000

What you will do

  • Lead and manage strategic and operational projects, including system implementations and process transformations.
  • Define clear goals, scope, and success measures in collaboration with technical and business teams.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies with transparent communication.
  • Champion outcome-focused ways of working to foster collaboration and accountability.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the PMO's approach to project delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering a mix of technology, process, and business change projects.
  • Strong expertise in project definition, planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated change management skills to guide teams through transformation.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers.
  • Experience in vendor and contract management with third-party suppliers.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Lean methodologies; PMP, PRINCE2, or AgilePM qualification is a plus.
