What you will do
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with government and regulatory bodies to secure license terms and advocate policy positions.
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies for new market entries and high-priority projects across Southeast Asia.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all required licenses and operating permits, ensuring timely renewals.
- Monitor and interpret global regulatory changes, providing strategic advice and implementation plans for leadership.
- Partner with Legal, Product, and Leadership teams to embed regulatory requirements into operational execution.
- Represent the company at industry forums and consultations to enhance market reputation.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, or Licensing, preferably multi-jurisdictional.
- Proven track record of leading strategic negotiation of regulatory outcomes and managing complex government approvals.
- Deep knowledge of government licensing and regulatory frameworks in Malaysia.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Exceptional diplomatic and relationship-building skills for engaging with high-level officials.
