What you will do

• Design and build functional hardware prototypes for UAS subsystems, iterating based on flight test data.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts for power distribution, sensor interfaces, and communication modules.
• Assemble, debug, and validate new PCBs to ensure reliability under flight conditions.
• Develop test procedures and fixtures for hardware verification.
• Prepare technical documentation and fabrication data for manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate electronic systems.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in El Segundo, CA.
• Proficiency with PCB design software such as Altium or KiCad.
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers like STM32, ESP32, or NVIDIA Jetson.
• Embedded programming skills in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Knowledge of power electronics, including buck/boost converters and BMS.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and DC loads.
• Demonstrated technical ability through personal projects, research, or prior internships.
