Location: Sydney, Australia (Hybrid - 3 days in office required)

What you will do

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 6 to 8 engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership via design reviews, technical planning, and code reviews.
  • Solve complex, ambiguous technical challenges within AI systems and product infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and GTM leaders to drive execution and roadmap delivery.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to hire and onboard bar-raising engineering talent.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager leading teams of comparable scope.
  • Strong technical credibility with the ability to remain hands-on in architecture and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with company leadership on roadmap prioritization.
  • High AI fluency, including the active use of AI agents in daily technical workflows.
  • Must be based in Sydney, Australia (Hybrid - 3 days in office required).

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in AI/ML domains.
  • Experience working on SaaS platforms, infrastructure, or product engineering.
