Salary: $190,000 – $240,000

What you will do

• Define and lead the software quality automation strategy for GM connectivity software products.
• Design and scale automation test software for lab environments, including benches, simulators, and hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Build reusable automation software and abstraction layers to simplify complex hardware and system interactions.
• Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines to improve speed, repeatability, and release confidence.
• Collaborate with developers and quality teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for complex software issues.
• Improve test data observability and reporting to strengthen software quality visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of software development or test automation experience.
• 5+ years in a technical role with increasing ownership and leadership.
• Deep hands-on experience building automation test software using Python and/or Robot Framework.
• High-level experience in connectivity domains such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, cellular, Digital Key, Ethernet, or CAN.
• Ability to pass a technical coding assessment.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in vehicle communication systems and V2X.
• Experience with issue tracking and quality tools such as JIRA and XRAY.
• Knowledge of GM production software development and release processes.
