Location: Must be based in New York, NY (Onsite 4 days a week)

Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 USD

What you will do

• Design and drive a unified product engineering strategy prioritizing modularity and extreme resiliency.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of products from multi-platform clients to backend services.
• Define and enforce standards for performance, accessibility, and data privacy.
• Modernize systems by leveraging agentic AI tools to improve developer productivity.
• Build and maintain shared libraries and DSLs to enable rapid, high-quality deployments.
• Act as a technical steward to bring clarity to ambiguous requirements and mitigate risk.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in customer-facing products.
• Strong professional experience in full-stack development using Node/TypeScript.
• Proficiency with JVM languages (Kotlin or Java) is a major plus.
• Experience building resilient APIs using GraphQL.
• Must be able to work onsite in New York City 4 days a week.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (no immigration support provided).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for logic sharing.
• Deep knowledge of security best practices and data encryption.
• Experience with healthcare standards like FHIR or HL7.
