What you will do

• Design and operate infrastructure for ETL from diverse data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
• Build and manage large, complex data lakes to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Develop and deploy ML models using Jupyter Notebooks and leverage AWS AI/ML pre-built solutions.
• Optimize various RDBMS engines in the cloud and resolve security, performance, and operation problems.
• Optimize ingestion, storage, and retrieval for diverse data types, from real-time IoT events to unstructured images, audio, and video.
• Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Software Development teams to support data infrastructure needs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, or another quantitative field.
• Proficiency with big data tools such as Spark, ElasticSearch, Hadoop, Kafka, and Kinesis.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Strong Python coding skills and advanced SQL knowledge for query authoring.
• Experience with Deep Learning Neural Networks (CNN, NLP) and AWS AI/ML services.

Nice to have

• AWS Machine Learning Specialty certification.
• AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification.
