Location: Remote (US only). Note: Not eligible for candidates based in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, or surrounding areas. Occasional travel required for team meetings.

Salary: $171,120 – $213,900

• Build and operate services in a distributed production environment handling massive global scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex distributed computing challenges.
• Mentor and influence junior engineers to support their career growth.
• Communicate technical vision and project status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Optimize system performance and balance technical debt with new feature development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Golang, Java, or similar technologies.
• Proven track record in service ownership and operational excellence.
• Experience leading technical decisions and large-scale projects.
• Must be based in the US (excluding specific Bay Area locations).
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Containers and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Kafka data pipelining.
• Experience with MySQL or AWS Aurora.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
