What you will do

• Lead the definition of the Operational Design Domain (ODD) and vehicle-level behavioral requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware and software leads to develop the HW/SW architecture.
• Define high-level system requirements, metrics, and verification methods.
• Establish the functional safety approach and HW/SW safety architecture.
• Design fail-safe and fail-functional frameworks for functional safety and SOTIF.
• Evaluate in-car systems from a customer perspective and provide critical feedback to development teams.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, CS, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related (10+ years exp), Master's (8+ years), or PhD (5+ years).
• 6+ years of experience in automotive or robotics engineering.
• Experience with autonomy functions such as mapping, sensing, localization, detection, routing, and motion planning.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and git.
• Experience developing safety architectures to meet ISO 26262 or similar standards.

Nice to have

• Doctorate degree focused on robotics.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle development and testing.
• Experience developing robotics or FuSa software.
