What you will do

• Lead daily coating activities including preparation, coating, curing, finishing, and inspection.
• Coordinate with fabrication and assembly teams to deliver production according to plan and remove bottlenecks.
• Take full ownership of finish quality, focusing on thickness, adhesion, and color while reducing defects.
• Ensure strict HSE compliance regarding powder/chemical handling, PPE, and ventilation systems.
• Manage the maintenance of lines, booths, ovens, and conveyors to minimize downtime.
• Control stock levels of powders and chemicals in coordination with procurement.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or supervising a powder coating or finishing operation.
• Deep understanding of coating processes, surface preparation, and related equipment.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive standards directly on the shop floor.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to prioritize work and hold teams accountable.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in the North East of the UK

Nice to have

• Previous experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
