What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Windows and Linux systems.
• Manage and optimize firewall infrastructure including Check Point, Cisco, and FortiGate.
• Oversee EDR/XDR solutions such as Palo Alto Cortex or Microsoft Defender.
• Standardize and harden cryptographic policies and TLS configurations.
• Develop security baselines and automated security configurations.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents while conducting vulnerability assessments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional IT experience with 5+ years in security engineering.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Expert experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Check Point, Cisco, and FortiGate firewalls.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with vulnerability tools like Nessus or Qualys.
