Cloud Architect (Public Cloud)

Cloud Architect (Public Cloud): Designing robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures for a European alternative to hyperscalers with an accent on solution design and client engagement. Focus on bridging business needs with technical implementation, optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO), and guiding cloud migration strategies.

Location: Must be based in Slovakia (Remote work is only available within the country) or located in Košice.

What you will do

• Partner with sales and account teams to conduct discovery sessions and gather detailed technical and business requirements.
• Design comprehensive cloud architectures, develop architectural blueprints, and define migration strategies.
• Lead technical workshops and create Proofs-of-Concept (PoCs) to validate proposed solutions for clients.
• Perform TCO analysis and optimize architectures for long-term cost efficiency.
• Ensure all designs adhere to security best practices and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
• Provide architectural guidance and support to implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Cloud Architect, Solution Designer, or Senior Cloud Engineer.
• Expertise in at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and working knowledge of others.
• Deep understanding of core cloud services: compute, storage, networking, databases, and identity management.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• English: B2 level or higher required.
• Must be based in Slovakia to be eligible for remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud architectures.
• Background in enterprise architecture or enterprise software.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
