Senior Principal Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Define and drive the multi-year technical roadmap for server-side communication infrastructure to ensure resilience and performance.
• Lead the design and implementation of backend systems optimized for massive data ingestion and wide-scale broadcasting to endpoints.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural standards across multiple engineering teams to align communication patterns.
• Champion high engineering rigor focusing on deep observability, low-latency distribution, and runtime stability.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Client-Side teams to evaluate technical trade-offs and mitigate risks.
• Mentor Senior and Staff engineers through deep-dive design reviews and code audits.

Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in high-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in systems-level programming and backend languages such as Go or Python.
• Extensive experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Proven ability to architect systems handling high-concurrency data ingestion and distribution.
• Demonstrated experience in profiling, debugging, and optimizing complex distributed systems.
• Must be based in Israel; the company will not sponsor work visas for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience architecting solutions using BigQuery, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput caching layers like Redis or Dragonfly.
• Deep understanding of Event-Driven systems and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Gemini or Claude.
• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a related field.
