What you will do

• Act as a strategic advisor to the QIA Director on positioning, priorities, and long-term direction.
• Lead high-level engagement with political, institutional, and funding stakeholders at national and European levels.
• Prepare executive-level strategic plans, policy papers, and briefing materials for internal and external use.
• Align the Quantum Internet Initiative (QI²) with EU frameworks such as the Digital Decade and open strategic autonomy.
• Monitor and anticipate EU funding developments, including Horizon Europe and future FP10 programs.
• Coordinate between technical R&D teams and policy priorities to ensure coherence across the value chain.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Management, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in senior strategic policy advisory or strategic project management.
• Proven experience with EU public funding instruments (e.g., Horizon Europe) is required.
• Strong understanding of European policy-making processes and institutional dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal English (C1+) required; proficiency in Dutch is a strong plus.
• Ability to operate independently and manage sensitive information at a senior political level.

Nice to have

• Direct experience working within the European Commission.
• Proficiency in the Dutch language.
