Location: Hybrid in Utrecht; Must be located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work there (no relocation available)
Salary: €5,030 - €7,183 gross monthly

What you will do
- Design and build AI assistants and agents to improve backlog refinement, code generation, code review, and testing workflows.
- Convert exploratory GenAI prototypes into robust, reusable building blocks that scale across hundreds of teams.
- Establish standards for agent design, system integration, and developer experience across the engineering organization.
- Lead solution design for APIs, event-driven systems, and AI workflows, ensuring performance and security.
- Coach other engineers on the effective use of GenAI and coding agents in day-to-day development.
- Make critical architectural trade-offs between speed, cost, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Must be based in the Netherlands with valid work authorization.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, ML Engineering, or Data Science.
- Proven end-to-end software engineering experience from architecture to production operations.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
- Practical experience with coding agents and agentic development tools (production, side projects, or hobby builds).
- Strong polyglot coding ability and a mindset for solving problems across the full stack.
Nice to have
- Personal hobby projects or prototypes that demonstrate a "maker mindset".
- Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM or Kanban).
