Quality Engineer I (Defense)

What you will do

• Lead Quality Engineering initiatives across workshop and field service operations.
• Drive root cause analysis investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support and strengthen the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Conduct internal audits at service centers and customer job sites.
• Review supplier quality documentation and material certifications.
• Create and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Reliability Engineer in manufacturing or service environments.
• Proof of US Citizenship and attestation of no dual citizenship.
• Experience performing supplier quality audits.
• Ability to travel up to 35% (domestic or international).
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP software.
• Experience auditing military or nuclear welding program quality requirements.
