TL;DR

Director, Cyber Incident Response & Readiness (Cybersecurity): Leading the Cyber Incident Response and Readiness Centre of Excellence to prevent and respond to cyber incidents at scale with an accent on operational resilience, crisis coordination, and framework evolution. Focus on providing technical leadership during major incidents, designing executive-level simulations, and integrating SOC operations with risk and legal teams.

Location: Hybrid in NSW (three days in the office, two remote)

What you will do

  • Lead the Cyber Incident Response and Readiness Centre of Excellence, establishing operating models and best practices.
  • Own and evolve the cyber incident response framework, including playbooks and governance mechanisms.
  • Drive organizational readiness through tabletop exercises, simulations, and continuous maturity improvements.
  • Provide technical and operational leadership as a senior authority during major cyber incidents.
  • Integrate incident response efforts with threat intelligence, SOC operations, legal, and risk teams.
  • Coach and develop high-performing cyber response leaders and specialists.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in cybersecurity, specifically in incident response, crisis management, and operational resilience.
  • Proven leadership in complex, enterprise-scale environments with the ability to influence senior executives.
  • Deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape, attack lifecycles, and recovery practices.
  • Ability to operate decisively during high-impact incidents while balancing risk and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience designing and running readiness programs and simulations at the executive and board level.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
