Principal Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States, including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine; Waltham, Massachusetts is also listed.

Salary: $122,600–$186,800 annually, plus potential annual bonus or commission and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the implementation and maintenance of critical cloud security systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Automate system administration and infrastructure tasks.
• Develop the strategic direction of security controls across AWS and GCP.
• Support vulnerability management, remediation tracking, risk mitigation, and incident response.
• Partner with Cloud Operations and Engineering on secure configurations and cloud security best practices.
• Maintain and improve security policies, standards, procedures, and governance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud operations, SRE, DevOps, or cloud security.
• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and controls, with hands-on AWS experience including EC2 and VPC.
• Experience automating and securing Linux systems and cloud infrastructure, including SELinux and FIPS.
• Experience with security monitoring, alerting, or incident response using tools such as Splunk, Chronicle, or CrowdStrike.
• Experience with containerized deployments, infrastructure as code, and scripting with Python, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from the listed United States locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and multiple Linux distributions.
• Experience in FedRAMP or DOD Impact Level-rated environments.
• Exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, or modern cloud-native architectures.
• Windows system administration and automation experience.
