What you will do

• Design and implement batch and streaming pipelines using Apache Beam, Spark, or Flink.
• Optimize data jobs for performance and cost while implementing robust testing and observability.
• Build and manage orchestration workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Troubleshoot production issues and lead root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Develop reusable libraries, templates, and contribute to engineering standards.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering Lead to architect scalable and secure data systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering with demonstrated architectural leadership.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, including concurrency, immutability, and performance profiling.
• Deep expertise in GCP (Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc) and Apache Beam.
• Strong experience with Apache Spark optimization and familiarity with Apache Flink.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience building complex Airflow DAGs.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform.
