What you will do

• Manage care for patients in a 26-bed cardiac step-down unit part of the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute.
• Coordinate nursing care for acutely ill patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and ancillary staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Document patient responses to interventions and update care plans based on findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Associate Degree Nursing acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years).
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal and analytic abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
